Fueled by personal experiences with workplace bias and a deep commitment to systemic change, Lisa draws on more than 20 years of television news experience to educate and inspire. She uses her passion for truth and storytelling to shed light on the impact of unconscious bias, inequities, and exclusion in professional and community settings. Lisa's expertise is strengthened by advanced studies in inclusive leadership and organizational culture at Cornell University, Northwestern University, and the University of Cambridge. She also earned her bachelor's degree in Mass Media Arts from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. Her resilience and determination were on full display in federal court, where she triumphed over a national media company after being wrongfully terminated. Jurors unanimously FOUND her former employer guilty of retaliation, a verdict that underscored her commitment to speaking truth to power and advocating for fairness. As an chairperson and board member for MORE2 (Metro Organization for Racial and Economic Equity), Lisa champions courageous conversations and drives initiatives that challenge barriers and advance equity. She partners with educators, business leaders, and professionals across industries to create environments that cultivate belonging and opportunity. When she's not working, Lisa enjoys reading, writing, traveling, and spending quality time with her two young sons. Lisa can be reached at info@lisabenson.org
